My Name is Brittany
I’m the upholsterer behind SpiritThread Studio & Stitches. I work with designers and clients to bring new life to furniture and create custom soft goods that feel thoughtful, comfortable, and built to last.
My work is rooted in a love of textiles, craftsmanship, and pieces that tell a story—without feeling overly precious.
I found upholstery during a season of life when I needed something grounding and hands-on.
What started as a class quickly became something more.
I was drawn to the process—the structure beneath the fabric, the detail, the transformation. Taking something worn or overlooked and rebuilding it into something beautiful and useful again.
Over time, that practice grew into a business.
Today, SpiritThread is a studio where I combine upholstery, textiles, and design to create pieces that are meant to live well and last.
I’m less interested in trends and more interested in how a piece feels in a space.
I tend to gravitate toward layered textiles, natural materials, and a slightly lived-in sensibility—something that feels more European than showroom.
Every project is approached with care, attention to detail, and a respect for the original piece.
