Brittany

I offer upholstery workshops and small group classes for anyone who wants to learn the craft in a hands-on, approachable way.
Classes range from one-day sessions to multi-week workshops, depending on the project. You might learn how to reupholster a chair, build an ottoman, or better understand the structure behind upholstered furniture.
I keep classes small so there’s time for guidance, questions, and real progress—not just watching, but actually doing.
More classes are always in the works.

From past students
"I recently spent the day in a Beginner Upholstery class at SpiritThread Studio and Stitches, and it was such a rewarding experience. Brittany is incredibly generous with her knowledge and so patient—she’s there to guide you every step of the way.
It was not only educational, but genuinely fun. I left with new skills and the confidence to start “rescuing” furniture I would have otherwise overlooked.
I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to bring tired pieces back to life."

"After 20 years of wear, I thought my dining chairs were beyond saving. Brittany made the process of restoring one in her class feel completely approachable—even with no prior experience.
Her guidance, patience, and attention to detail helped me create a result that looks better than new. I left with new skills, confidence, and a chair I absolutely love."

"Thank you again for such a wonderful class. Everyone loves how the chair turned out, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
The experience was so inspiring, I’m even considering exploring upholstery more seriously."
